Sorry, But I have Been Busy

Sorry everyone for the laspe in posts. The past few weeks have been insane.
I am working on my final paper for wirting class and it has taken ALOT of my time. and I have a powerpoint presentation due date fast approaching.
all this on top of four kids and running a household. The kids need mommy more than mommy needs good grades.
But things are looking up for our family, My husband may not be a temp at the local big factory if he learns how to run his machine fully (he has two weeks) he will be hired as a permanent employee. which is damned good money for around here.
But thats the reason Ihave been away for this long. I will be back very soon to post and pester!

Keep god out of politics...he isn't welcome there

I live in a relatively small town in Kentucky. I am fortunate to have been able to live and travel all over this great nation of ours. And for years I was able to live in the first state ratified into this wonderful nation.
I am a returning college student with four children. I am married to a very understanding and wonderful man.
And I live in a lil white house on a pretty decent street.
I am living the American Dream.
Yes, we struggle, as everyone else does, that sort of thing happens.
My children are all healthy and very well mannered. I have taught them right from wrong as a parent should. They know to take responsibility for their actions.
Again I am an American woman.
I take pride in that fact. And just like most Americans I often feel entitled to my rights. Why shouldn’t I?
After all, we are guaranteed these rights, aren’t we? We even have a legal documents stating what our rights are! Why shouldn’t I have the same rights as anyone else?
There are even laws now to keep religion out of our schools to protect my children from learning about any religion not our own.
That’s called “Separation of Church and State”. This is pretty awesome because, I really don’t think some 2000 year old dude should be telling me what I should do. I didn’t elect him. I don’t pay taxes so that he can teach my kids in school.
I don’t think the biblical laws apply to this day and age. Which is good because then people would be stoning or crucifying people left and right. “I smite you, Bob, for you blocked my drive way!”
And I think there are many in the nation that are likewise thankful that religion is supposed to be kept from politics for their own personal reasons. Not everyone believes as you might.
The thing is that there are an alarming amount of people that are crying how it’s “Against God’s laws” if gays were permitted to marry…God isn’t in office and his laws are severely outdated.
Gays should be allowed to marry; it is their right that is being denied. Right wingers seem to scream from the rooftops whenever this topic comes up. But they would scream louder if they lost one of their rights now wouldn’t they.
They forget (sickeningly ) that the whole civil rights thing goes both ways, whether they like it or not.
If I have the right to marry not once but be married three times (I have) then everyone should be married.
Keep God (or whatever preference) out of the argument and tell me what’s left to say. You can’t say it’s wrong because you lost your whole argument, haven’t you?

Cry Baby-Cry

Sad

Cry Baby, Cry
As some of you May know I have a way low tolerance for whiney ass attitudes. I am not sure where I got it from but here it is.
I could probably be like a lot of people out there that can just air out all of my angst and whine bitch and moan over how the world hates me or how I just can’t seem to even get ahead (of course it wouldn’t be MY fault or anything). I even get a touch pissy when I overhear someone complaining over the weather (it’s true, it may be HOT as hell, or COLD as a witch’s tit…but wtf can ya do?).
But when it gets to the serious stuff like the way you live or your spouse is an ass or even that you just don’t like who is in office… NO one seems to want to make the steps needed to make that change. These are usually the very same people that are crying about everything under the sun.
I know a woman who has been long suffering in a relationship where she is just miserable; her hubby won’t work so it’s up to her to pay for everything, including hubby’s new toys he must have in order to exist on this planet. Every time she comes here to visit I am drowned in her self-pity flood until I get fed up enough to look at her and say, “Well, you can always just leave him. You deserve to be happy” her standard reply is ALWAYS “I can’t because I don’t want to lose the house.” Um it’s in his name even though she has paid the mortgage for years; a good lawyer can help her. But NO she stays day after day, year after year. It’s not for any other reason but, what would she complain about if she did leave?
Sadly, the growing trend out there is that everyone is waiting for someone else to do the dirty work for them.
In one of my classes there are students that sit idly by waiting for another classmate or the teacher to come by and light the way for them. Why not read the book? We go step by step for goodness sakes! But no, it is so much easier to allow someone else to do the work for them.
I just don’t get it.
If you can try to change or situation for the better why not do it? Maybe my genetic code just doesn’t allow for sitting on my ass and watching everyone else pass me by. Maybe it’s me that’s messed up and not the examples I have used?
I was told not long ago by a neighbor that anything I have to say in town hall meetings will do any good. I refuse to accept that. “Yer just one person”, his drunken wisdom said. I disagreed and probably always will.
One small woman wrote a book not far from where I am sitting that not only changed the country but brought it to war. A man took a tour of a Chicago meat packing plant at the turn of the 20th century and not only changed the way meat was processed BUT was responsible for the Government to install the FDA and changed how we eat forever.
They weren’t a team of people. They were alone.
If they can do it…why can’t we?

I think it's just a tad late...

http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/10/28/arkansas.anti.gay.resignation/index.html?iref=NS1
And on to the Daily Questions to ponder: Is he resigning and apologizing because he knows what he said was wrong and has caused hurt? Is he now ashamed for his actions? Is he truely Sorry?
OR (and let's face it,more likely): Is he doing all of this because he has realized he is a jackass? Is he now afraid of the backlash? Is he now realizing what he has said pissed off the right people?

Clint McCance, you should be sorry! you should be ashamed! You should be for some sort of forgiveness and yes, you should resign! you deserve so much more than what you are getting..
I am not gay,but not only do I have gay friends (whom I consider family to me) BUT, I have four children who go to public school and as a mother, I can honestly say I spend all of my time protecting my kids from people just like you!

It's the very people like yourself that forced those kids to the only solution they thought possible and sadly you held a position in a school that kids thought they trust to protect them. You are the worst kind of person there is..
You are not sorry you did something terrible, You are only sorry you were caught!
